Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to open in San Francisco

A new production of Cursed Child is coming to the West Coast… Get ready, San Francisco!

A second American production of Cursed Child is due to open in the fall of 2019, at San Francisco’s Curran. This will be the fourth announced location for Cursed Childproductions, following on from London, New York, and most recently, Melbourne!

Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender spoke fondly of the award-winning play’s next stop.

‘The beautiful and historic Curran in San Francisco is the perfect theatre for the next North American company of Cursed Child. We are delighted that ATG and Carole Shorenstein Hays have worked their magic to provide the ideal West Coast home for the production.’

The move marks a unique collaboration between the Curran, owned by Carole Shorenstein Hays, and Ambassador Theatre Group. Preparations are now underway for the arrival of Cursed Child, with ATG leading the operation of the theatre during the play’s run in San Francisco.

Maybe they should change the name of the Golden Gate Bridge to the Golden Snitch Bridge? Oh alright, just an idea…
